Join us in making a difference- Your support can change lives!
At DANEnet, we believe that giving is at the heart of community empowerment and digital equity. As a local nonprofit, we are dedicated to providing affordable tech support to fellow nonprofits, ensuring they can thrive in the digital landscape. Our Digital Equity Project further amplifies our mission by providing free laptops to low-income households through partner agencies and offering free digital skills classes to the public. By fostering access to technology and education, we aim to bridge the digital divide and create opportunities for all, proving that when we invest in our community, everyone benefits.
Do you have specific donation questions? We’d love to connect with you! Please reach out to Sarah Linn, Director of Development, at sarah@danenet.org or (608) 205-8225.
Ways to Give
However you decide to give, your donations make a difference!
By supporting digital equity with a monetary donation, you are providing adults with the skills they need to enter the workforce, allowing families to better support their child’s education, assisting veterans’ and rural-area families’ access to online healthcare support, and offering seniors a chance to boost their social and civic engagement! Every dollar makes a difference!
Want to help DANEnet programs thrive all year long? Consider becoming a monthly donor! Spreading your donations throughout the year helps DANEnet make plans and provides support we can count on all year. Monthly givers ensure that our clinics, classes, and services are sustainable.
Your recurring donation can be set up to pull automatically (or stopped at any time through the online portal) and make it easy for you to budget your donations throughout the year, too!
We collect donated laptops from the community, refurbish them, and then distribute them to low-income households without computers through our network of nonprofit direct service providers (social workers, caseworkers, educators, and healthcare workers).
All donated laptops are securely wiped (according to the US Dept of Defense 5220.22-M Standard as well as 20+ international data sanitizing standards) and refurbished by volunteers. Our goal is to connect adults on the other side of the digital divide with better jobs, educational success, remote healthcare, and other resources that can help them thrive.
WE CAN USE:
Working PC laptops running Windows 11, with power cords and needing no repair (min. 8 GB RAM, 250 GB hard drive).
Working Apple MacBooks or iPads from 2015 or later, with power cords and needing no repair.

If you are 70½ or older, you are eligible to make charitable gifts directly from your individual retirement account (IRA). These gifts satisfy your required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year and reduce your taxable income, all while allowing you to give pretax dollars to charity.
Benefits of making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA include:
- Satisfy your required minimum distribution
- Reduce your taxable income / avoid taxes on transfers up to $100,000/year
- Avoid the 50% deduction limit on charitable gifts
A donor-advised fund (DAF) allows you to receive tax benefits when you contribute to your DAF, then recommend grants to nonprofit organizations from your fund later. Please consult with your financial adviser to see if this may be a good solution for your giving priorities.
We do not always receive donor information with DAF transfers. Please contact us at development@danenet.org to let us know about your gift so we can say thank you!
