Recycle Your Used Tech Devices While Benefitting Digital Equity!

Bring your old laptops, cell phones, tablets, and other digital devices to be reused or recycled! Madison-based nonprofit DANEnet is teaming up with Cascade Asset Management to collect residential digital devices to be securely wiped then recycled or refurbished for distribution to low-income households without computers. It’s good for our community AND good for the planet!

Next Event: Earth Day E-Cycling

Tuesday, April 22 from 8:00am-1:00pm
Alliant Energy Center (enter from Rimrock Road)

In addition to our work with Cascade Asset Management, we are excited to also partner with the Wisconsin Medical Project for this event! They will be collecting used patient care items such as wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, commodes, and rollators. They gather donated items and provide them to hospitals and clinics in areas of great need locally, as well as Camagüey, Cuba and several African countries.

– BRING: computers, laptops, monitors, TVs, computer devices, smart watches, tablets, cellphones, boxes of mystery tech cords, wheelchairs, crutches, commodes, walkers, and rollators.

– DO NOT BRING: appliances, copiers, fax machines, medical tech devices, or technology from businesses.

**For a complete and detailed list of all tech that can be recycled through this program, check the WI DNR’s list here.

By recycling tech devices, we help create a healthier planet for ourselves and future generations. Conserving natural resources is essential: recycling minimizes the need to extract timber, water, and minerals for new products. Additionally, our partners at Cascade Asset Management transform these e-cycling events into fundraisers for DANEnet! All collected devices that can be resold are utilized to generate funds for DANEnet programming.
